The Perfect Mixer
The precise origins of this most popular of spirits are unclear but references to distilling vodka have emerged in both Poland and Russia from as early as the 8th century. Traditional Vodkas must be made from potatoes, cereals or molasses. The name "vodka" is a diminutive form of the Slavic word voda (water), interpreted as “little water”. Today, Vodka is the most popular and widely consumed spirit in the UK, selling twice as much as total Gin and Rum volumes added together. This probably explains why the category has become a bit “industrial”, our aim (in a very small & local way) is to help share some small batch, artisanal products with our customers.
